🏀 Cascade AAU Season Overview

Welcome to another exciting season of Cascade AAU Basketball!

 Our program is designed to develop players, grow young men and women of faith, and prepare athletes for high-level competition through structured training and meaningful team experiences.

📅 Tryouts & Season Schedule

✅ Tryouts: Late October or Early November
✅ Practices Begin: Early to Mid-November
✅ First Tournament: Mid to Late December
✅ Regular Season: January – March

Each team practices 2-3 times per week, with games primarily scheduled on weekends.

🏀 League Play & Competition

📌 5th Grade: Competes in the Manny League—focusing on development, structured competition, and preparing athletes for AAU-level play.


📌 6th–8th Grade: Competes in the Southern Oregon Youth Club League (SOYCL)—a highly competitive league designed to challenge players and prepare them for middle school and high school basketball.


📌 Tournaments (TBD):
🚀 December – Medford (All Grades)
🚀 January & February – Out-of-town tournaments (7th/8th) | Medford (5th/6th)
🚀 March – Middle School State Championships

🚀 Portland Trip – A Season HighlighT!

For our 7th & 8th grade teams

We have an annual team trip to Portland, where players will:
✅ Compete in two games against strong competition
✅ Watch Gonzaga vs. University of Portland—getting an up-close look at elite college basketball
✅ Participate in a high-level workout with D1 coaches the following morning

Last year, this trip was one of the biggest highlights for players and parents alike! More details coming soon.
